BIO
Rochelle (Rocky) Humphrey is a documentary director, producer and screenwriter. She has sold onto SBS and NITV, titles include Urban Dreaming, Wurundjeri Baggarrook and Lady Lash, the later peaking TV ratings. Rocky served on the board of Women in Film and TV, is on the Vic Screens Key Talent register and just won Vic Screen Award for Most Accomplished screenwriting graduate. Rocky interned with the talented screenwriter Kelly Lefever. Rocky's education includes, Masters- International Relations specialisation in Human Rights and International law, Fine Arts degree (installation film and sound), Post grad in Arts Management and Adv. Dip Professional Screenwriting (RMIT) in 2024. |
Point of Difference - What I can bring to your project ?
I am involved in creative activism, living in creative squats for over 15 years that served as venues, art studios, cafes, martial and shiatsu studios. I live to create characters, that embody the chaotic beautiful mess of life, characters with depth to illuminate our screens. My burning self-motivation, dedication and discipline will be an asset to any writers room. I will bring a subversive voice to your project.
