Shajaa (2002)

Shajaa (Courage) is an art installation and performance that examined the war in Afghanistan and connection to the oil industry.
The burka made of bullets refers to the way those in power use culture as a narrative to create war. Shajaa is about fleeing from war and the courage it takes to flee.
